Wednesday Wisdom: RPG Game Boosts Brain Better Than Lumosity

We’ve all seen the advertisements for Lumosity, an online service that purports to enhance cognition utilizing a principle known as neuroplasticity (the idea that the adult brain can grow and change with certain types of activities/stimuli). Unfortunately for Lumosity, a recent study revealed that gamers casually playing Portal 2 (an RPG game) achieved more positive cognitive benefits than Lumosity users.
