Sleep: The Ultimate Study Aid?

Everybody knows that sleep is vital physiologically, but research suggests that many ambitious folks sacrifice it too willingly to gain an academic edge.  Specifically, all-nighters have their place when you get backed into a logistical corner, but science tells us that a consistent study/sleep pattern is the only way to optimize our cognitive potential.  That being said, there are ways to game the system such as staying up late before a math test (and sleeping in to a normal time), or going to bed early before an English exam (and getting up early to cram).  Learn why they work in this recent NY Times article.
